Cool Things I've Done

Here's a short list of some things I've accomplished.  A sampling of my greatest hits album, if you will. ;)

01 | expanded upon business development & marketing departments

Over the last 4 years at my prior firm, I compounded endless actions and strategies to fully flesh out business development and marketing plans that were in their infancy upon my hiring. This shows the value of working with me long term: the more I understand about you, your firm, and it’s mission, the more value and insights I’m able to help you unlock over time. Some of the high notes included:
  • Formalizing a yearly business development plan that was strategic and actionable.
  • Overhauling a defunct and barely utilized CRM system to Salesforce, which I single-handedly self-implemented.
  • Following the adoption of Salesforce, I implemented Pardot (now Marketing Cloud Automation Engagement, Salesforce's native marketing tool) to enable us to send more sophisticated email campaigns and take advantage of analytics and insights to make better decisions about the types of content to pursue, as well as gain insights into our ideal audience members, in order to approach them at the right time, with the right content.

02 | exponential database growth, social media presence & engagement and new initiatives

By consistently delivering valuable content to our audience via emails and social media, we experienced exponential database growth, and we were able to form many new partnerships with other firms in our space who were now aware of us, thanks to our increased brand awareness. This brought us many invitations to participate on webinars and panels, further extending our reach and allowing us to grow our database consistently with high-quality leads who were already interested in our services and our messaging.

03 | developed, implemented & executed on a thoughtful, thematic-based content schedule

Hello, steep increase in web traffic and email click-through rates! This initiative positioned the firm as the industry thought leader and source of educational content on the relevant topic. I capitalized on each of my writers' unique experience and weaved consistent storytelling elements throughout to achieve brand consistency, while still maintaining individual author voices. I provided constructive, discerning editorial feedback and thoughtful insights along the way to elicit the best possible stories and content that would resonate with our audience.

04 | volunteering, fundraising & bettering the community

We're only as strong as the communities that we are a part of, and I realize that I am in a unique position to give back. I'm proud to have been involved in - and spearheaded - many worthwhile initiatives, such as:
  • During our office move, upon learning that we were planning to discard furniture that would not fit in our new downsized space, I contacted numerous local organizations to find a place willing to accept the donation. I worked hand-in-hand with Habitat for Humanity to donate over $6K worth of office furniture to their ReStore retail locations. I coordinated all logistics related to the donation and supervised the day of the move.
  • I spent several years extensively involved in the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) Chicago Real Estate Games as a company team and sponsor. I served as Team Captain, responsible for fielding our corporate team and leading the fundraising marketing efforts via social media and email campaigns, directly resulting in our team winning the fundraising portion against a dozen other competing firms, and proudly raising nearly $9K (~6% of the total event fundraise).

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions? Take a peek below. If you don't find the answer you need, feel free to reach out!

Do you have a degree in marketing?

No! However, that's never stopped me from making marketing magic happen for the clients I've worked with! I'm proud to say I have a degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in landscape architecture. My degree in journalism has been very impactful in the realm of marketing as I'm able to place the emphasis on storytelling elements that are most resonant with audiences. It has served as an unparalleled foundation that is only amplified by my 16 years of marketing experience. My landscape architecture studies were foundational in forming my eye for design, style, and aesthetics, which I'm able to bring to every project I work on and every client that I help.

Do you have samples of your writing & editing?

Yes! I am happy to provide copy and content from websites, emails, social media posts, and more that I have worked on. You can also read some articles on my LinkedIn here. You will be redirected to LinkedIn.
